  • The Loewe Theatre 119 East 68th Street New York, NY, 10065 United States (map)

You may come prepared to share a memorized 1-3 minute monologue (ideally from a Wilde play or similar), or cold-read a scene from the play (provided). You will sign up on-site for a slot and be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Rehearsals are on weekday nights, 6-10pm (most night releasing at 9:30). The performances will be March 27-April 6. Please make sure you will be available and able to commit to weeknight rehearsals beginning Monday, February 5, tech run-throughs March 20-23, and all performances, before auditioning.

Our production of The Importance of Being Earnest will be set in the present, as a mock Reality TV Show. All roles are open to many different “types” of performers and may be cast across gender, cultural identity, ability, race, and age. Please contact the director, eneff@gradcenter.cuny.edu, with any advance questions about the auditions or the production.

Callbacks by invitation will be that Friday, 02/02, also 6-9pm.
